Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Auto Global History collects when you use this website or order a vehicle history report, why we collect it, and what we do — and do not — do with it.

1. What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, the VIN you submit, the country of registration, and any optional phone number or note you add to the order form.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store full card numbers.
• Contact form messages: whatever you choose to send us.
• Technical data: standard web server and analytics information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site.

2. Why we use it

• To generate and deliver the vehicle history report you ordered.
• To answer your questions and provide support afterwards.
• To process payments and prevent fraudulent orders.
• To meet accounting and legal obligations.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful and fix the parts that are not.

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not tell sellers, dealers or previous owners that their vehicle has been checked. A VIN search is private between you and us.
• We do not send marketing email unless you have asked to receive it, and every such email carries an unsubscribe link.

4. Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need in order to operate: our ecommerce platform, our payment processor, our email delivery provider, and the data sources we query to build your report. Each receives only what that task requires. We also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

5. VIN data

A VIN identifies a vehicle, not a person, and we treat it as vehicle data. We retain the VINs we have searched together with your order so that we can re-issue your report, honour re-runs, and support you later.

6. Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for the store and cart to function, and may use analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the checkout may not work correctly without the essential ones.

7. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them to support you and to meet accounting and tax obligations. Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy of it, or to object to certain uses. Email support@autoglobalhistory.com and we will action your request. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to retain some records where the law requires it.

9. Security

The site runs over encrypted connections and payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not hold the data that would be most valuable to an attacker: full card numbers never reach us.

10. Children

This service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
