About Us

Auto Global History is an independent vehicle history report service for cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, motorcycles and RVs registered in the United States and Canada. We exist for one reason: a used vehicle carries a story, and the person paying for it deserves to read that story before the money changes hands.

Why we started

A used car is one of the largest purchases most people make without professional help. The seller knows the vehicle's history. The buyer, in most cases, knows almost nothing — and the gap between those two positions is where people lose thousands of dollars to written-off cars sold as clean, mileage wound back between owners, and loans that quietly follow the vehicle to its new owner.

Closing that gap does not require anything exotic. The records already exist: insurance claims, state and provincial title files, auction listings, service entries, recall notices, lien registrations. They are simply scattered, inconsistent, and inconvenient to search. Our job is to pull them together for a single VIN and hand you a document you can actually act on.

What a VIN check with us covers

• We search the VIN, not the listing. A 17-digit VIN is the only thing that follows a vehicle through every owner, every state and every rebrand.
• We check both sides of the border. Vehicles move between the United States and Canada in volume, and a car written off in one country can look clean to a search that only covers the other. Both are always included.
• We write reports people can read. Every vehicle history report opens with a plain-English summary — what we found, how serious it is, and what it should mean for your decision — before the raw records begin.
• We tell you what we did not find. An empty section is stated as an empty section, not dressed up as a clean bill of health.

What we will not do

We will not tell you a report is a substitute for an inspection, because it is not. A history report covers what has been reported about a vehicle — damage repaired privately and never claimed appears in no provider's records, ours included. We will also never tell a seller or dealer that their vehicle has been checked, and we do not sell customer information to anyone.
